After three years of tireless searching and several costly failed attempts to buy land, we finally stumbled upon something truly special.

Blackwood Valley enjoys 60 primary acres, surrounded by hundreds of acres of wild woodland, deep in the heart of the Spanish countryside. With nature as our only neighbour and the sun as our only energy source, we have embarked on a lifelong ambition to build a new life for ourselves, a world away from government rule, regulations and constraints.

We feel extremely fortunate to be in the position we are in, and it's our goal to help future homesteaders by sharing not only our journey, but those of other successful homesteaders who share their wins as well as their losses in the hope that you can learn from our experiences and ensure you don't make the same mistakes we did.
